The Rocky Mountain Bighorn Society exists to promote the science-based management of bighorn sheep, educate the public about their life and habitat, and conserve habitat that promotes healthy bighorn sheep populations.

PROTECTING THE HERD: OUR PROJECTS

RMBS collaborates with numerous Federal and State agencies, other non-governmental organizations, and private consulting firms to further bighorn sheep conservation, research, and hunting opportunities throughout the United States.

Working with various organizations to retire sheep grazing allotments to reduce contact between domestic sheep and bighorn sheep.

HABITAT IMPROVEMENT

RMBS collaborates with federal and state agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private entities to further bighorn sheep conservation, research, and hunting opportunities.

RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS

Working closely with Colorado State University and Dr. Karen Fox, RMBS funds cutting-edge research in the genetic testing of Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae (Movi) affecting bighorn sheep.
