The RMBS recently signed a letter of support for the draft wolf management plan developed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife staff through a year-long process with a Technical Advisory Group, a Stakeholder Advisory Group, and numerous public meetings throughout the state. The letter was signed by fellow members of Colorado Wildlife Conservation Project and sent to the Colorado Wildlife Commission (CWCP). The letter expresses support for wolf recovery thresholds defined in the plan, as well as lethal control remaining as one tool available to managers in Phase 4 of the plan. The CPCP requested that CPW develop more accurate estimates of costs associated with reintroduction, as well as identify sources of funding for reintroduction.
